In #Chile, McDonald’s and its developmental licensee Arcos Dorados are helping lead environmental innovation – including opening the first restaurant built with sustainably sourced wood. How did this come to life? ?? This restaurant was developed using wood from sustainably managed forests, with FSC and PEFC certifications. ?? The modern, modular design allowed the building assembly to be completed in just 10 (??) days, helping to reduce the environmental and noise pollution typically associated with conventional construction for the surrounding community. ?? Up to 25 #sustainability features are incorporated in all new and remodeled restaurants operated by Arco Dorados across 20 markets, including solar water heaters and UV window film that optimizes the climate control.

At McDonald's #Philippines, the ReClassified initiative has transformed decommissioned restaurant materials into functional student furniture. ?? This past year, they gathered materials from 70+ restaurant renovations and teamed up with a local university to invite students to create innovative furniture designs. McDonald's Philippines is proud to impact future generations and help to reduce waste, one chair at a time. ??? #globalrecyclingday

McDonald’s Restaurant Design team always keeps a close eye on the customer, and crew needs to help lead the direction of #innovation. During the #construction phase, a #McDonalds restaurant takes about 120 days to come to life, and we’re grateful to have amazing partners like Stansell Construction. Launched in 2022, CUBE represents the different dimensions and ways in which McDonald’s connects with our customers and how we’re always thinking of them first. ?? Every detail of the CUBE #design concept has been carefully considered to offer a welcoming, warm environment for guests of all ages, and was inspired by the shape, look and feel of the iconic Happy Meal box. ?? Like all design concepts at McDonald’s, CUBE embraces our #sustainability ambitions, and the Global Design team is focused on implementing environmentally friendly materials as they continue to test, learn, and evolve the concept. ?? This concept has been successfully installed in 22 restaurants, with an aim to expand to at least 30 more locations in 2025. #interiordesign
