McCormick Taylor is excited to share, the SR 299, SR 1 to Catherine Street Project recently received two awards from ASHE First State - Project of the Year, Over $20 Million Category; and the People’s Choice Award! Together with the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), members of McCormick Taylor's Project Team, including Kristian Bellotti P.E.; Ken Murphy, PE; Tucker Smith, PE; and Farzana Atique, PhD, PE accepted the award at the November Dinner Meeting. SR 299, also known as Main Street, is an east-west high-capacity roadway connecting US 301 with Delaware SR 1/US 13 and is essential to Middletown and southern New Castle County, DE. By widening the corridor, adding transit facilities, building a shared use path, adding a bike lane, and completing the sidewalk network, the project will sustain increasing traffic volumes, equip users with multi-modal connections to critical destinations, and accommodate continued growth and expansion for years to come.
