In this season of gratitude, we have to say thank you to our wonderful McCormick Place team! ? In the midst of events loading out and in last week, the McCormick Place Leadership Team was onsite on Friday to hand out holiday turkeys and hams to our amazing McCormick Place team members. It takes a lot of intense behind-the-scenes work to create amazing experiences at McCormick Place, and we'd like to celebrate a history-making moment from last week on campus with IBEW Local 134: This past Friday, over 700 IBEW Local 134 electricians were on-site at McCormick Place, simultaneously working on RSNA load-in and Microsoft Ignite load-out. This is a record-breaking number of skilled professionals on-site in a single day - even surpassing the original construction of McCormick Place! This is just one example of the high level of skill, organization, and coordination that these talented professionals provide for our campus, our event organizers, and the city of Chicago every day. When we say creating amazing events at McCormick Place is a team effort, THIS is what we mean - bravo to the IBEW Local 134! ??

The highlights are in from our special #MenuMonday recap of Microsoft Ignite last week, as seen through the lens of our hospitality team! ?? Each day, we served 14,000 guests during our catered lunch buffet, along with over 750 pre-ordered or special dietary meals prepared by our culinary team. ?? The Opening Reception welcomed 6,500 attendees. ? A remarkable 9,000 gallons of coffee was served. ?? A total of 3,800 Grab ‘n Go items were distributed across three Market locations. It was a true pleasure to host all the wonderful guests at McCormick Place, and a huge shoutout to our hospitality team for their unwavering hard work and commitment. ??
