The Cornell Cooperative Extension visited our Junior and Senior Einsteins for a hands-on activity that blended literacy, sensory exploration, and motor skill development. After enjoying a reading of "Soft and Sticky," students got to explore textures firsthand, sticking different objects to a sticky wall. This simple yet engaging activity encouraged creativity, individuality, and skill-building—proving that some of the best learning happens through play. The OmniStand? dynamic balance system by ACP - Accelerated Care Plus is one of the many tools our dedicated therapists use to improve mobility, stability, and confidence among our residents. Pictured here, Kenneth works one-on-one with Jessica, PTA, utilizing OmniStand? to safely challenge his balance and build strength. During this session, another Rehab team member adds an extra layer of engagement by hitting a balloon toward Kenneth as he hits it back—an exercise that improves coordination, reaction time, and postural control. This fall-safe system allows clinicians to dynamically support and challenge patients, promoting independence through progressive gait and balance training.
