Great article in The Minnesota Star Tribune on the B Suite, a business venture from Jhaelynn Elam, that hosts monthly informal gatherings in downtown Minneapolis to strengthen social connections among transplants of color. The B Suite is part of the mpls downtown council Chameleon Shoppes incubator program. “With many offices no longer bustling 40 hours a week like they were before COVID, new arrivals to the Twin Cities are arguably less likely to develop deep friendships in the cube farm. Groups like B Suite are filling the gap for social connection among transplants of color, providing options for the 5-to-9 once the 9-to-5 is done.” Read it here:

Had the pleasure of being a panelist for the Bassford Remele 2024 Women’s Leadership Summit alongside other women business leaders Lani Basa Holly Vitense Darcy Dahl, CFP? We covered a wide range of topics including allyship, vulnerability,and how to lift women up in the workplace. I mentioned how I can spot a successful, ambitious woman who is also out there wanting to lift others up on her journey from a mile away. They show up for other women and cheer on their successes. Those are the kind of people I want in my corner and the kind I want to be. I took away several lessons from these other panelists about embracing risk and vocal advocacy in the workplace to be an active ally. Great to see Kathy Robideau again who was a wonderful moderator. Thank you for the opportunity!

Reflecting on an amazing trip to #Toronto for #ICLV2024 We got the chance to connect with 100+ business and civic leaders for this 22nd Annual InterCity Leadership Visit hosted by Minneapolis Regional Chamber and St. Paul Area Chamber. We learned about the successes and challenges in beautiful Toronto. We sponsored the lunch session to share a little about our work in PR and storytelling as well. Grateful to see so many familiar faces and make new connections, too!
