It's official! The ribbon was cut at the Montgomery County Early Learning Center yesterday afternoon. The new center, operated by KinderCare Learning Companies, is scheduled to open March 17 and will provide 124 high-quality childcare seats for infants through age five. This $5 million investment in the community was made possible through a unique partnership of businesses, government, and philanthropy working together to create long-term, sustainable solutions to meet the critical need for additional high-quality childcare. Partners in this endeavor included Acuity Brands, The City of Crawfordsville, DES Engineering, Early Learning Indiana, Hoosier Heartland State Bank, Lakeside Book Company, Montgomery County, Indiana Government, Montgomery County Community Foundation, North Central Health Services Inc., Nucor Corporation, Penguin Random House, State of Indiana, Tempur Sealy International, Tipmont, Tri-County Bank & Trust, and Wabash College. It was another incredible year at MCCF! Over $2 MILLION was granted back to the community through grants and scholarships, bringing our total since 1991 to just over $31.5 million. As always, we are so grateful to the donors and fund owners who make it all possible. Take a look back with us at some of the highlights of 2024!

What an exciting time for Wabash College! It has been an honor for MCCF to be involved in discussions of this community center and efforts to strengthen our nonprofit ecosystem. We look forward to the many community collaborations these spaces will provide for Wabash, its students, faculty, staff, and for all of us who call Montgomery County home.

Another round of MCCF funding will soon be making a difference in Montgomery County! Seventeen grants totaling just over $327,000 were presented to local nonprofit organizations last week. It's official! ?? A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week to kick off the construction and renovation of the new Montgomery County Early Learning Center. Located in the former county government building at 110 W South Boulevard in Crawfordsville, this transformational community project will provide 124 high-quality childcare seats for infants through age five. It is expected to open in the spring of 2025. The new facility is the result of a $5 million investment made possible through a unique partnership of businesses, government, and philanthropy. Investors in this project include the following: Acuity Brands, City of Crawfordsville, DES Engineering LLC, Early Learning Indiana, Hoosier Heartland State Bank, Lakeside Book Company, Montgomery County Community Foundation- Indiana, Montgomery County Government, North Central Health Services Inc., Nucor Steel Indiana, Penguin Random House, State of Indiana, Tempur Sealy International, Tipmont, Tri-County Bank & Trust, and Wabash College. It was also announced that KinderCare Learning Companies has been selected to operate the new facility. Kindercare has more than 50 years of experience providing early childhood care and education, combined with expertise in child development and research-based curriculum.
