Things are looking up at our California State University San Marcos University Village Housing and Dining (UVHD) project, which stands seven-stories high, to be exact. What does it take to reach the top in just 14 months? ? 269 days worked, made up of 118,948 McCarthy and trade partner hours ? 12,153 yards of concrete—approximately 1,279 truckloads ? 2.49 million pounds of rebar—about the same weight as 17,795 CSU San Marcos Cougars (students). ? 0 Recordable or Lost Time Injuries The 137,000-square-foot building will include 555 new beds and a 10,000-square-foot, two-story dining facility set on a 2.5 campus acres. The project will bring much-needed student housing relief to the university and student body. This weekend marked an exciting milestone for the construction of the Children's Health new pediatric campus in Dallas! Our team, alongside our JV partners Vaughn Construction, erected the first of nine tower cranes that will eventually be onsite. This key piece of equipment will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the largest, most transformative pediatric hospitals in the nation, allowing us to reach new heights — both literally and figuratively. As we see vertical progress taking shape, we're reminded of the profound impact this campus will have on North Texas. From state-of-the-art facilities to specialized care for the region’s youngest patients, this campus will be a beacon of hope, care, and innovation for one of the nation’s fastest-growing metropolitan areas. We're excited to share that our Georgia Ports Authority Ocean Terminal Bridge team has successfully completed its first concrete deck pour! The project scope includes connecting Ocean Terminal to Route 17 in Savannah, GA. Once completed, the overpass bridge will reduce traffic impact on local communities while increasing efficiencies to accommodate the recent surge in container volumes at the Port of Savannah. A big congratulations to our amazing project team for reaching this impressive milestone! In just the past few years, wastewater filtration technology has significantly advanced through the use of membrane-based filters and membrane bioreactors (MBR). These technical components are critical to removing dangerous pollutants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as PFAS.
