Throughout the year, but especially during the holidays, many families in Fairfax County experience extreme economic strain and struggle to put food on the table. With the help of the local community, FACETS collects Thanksgiving staples like stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, cooking oil and grocery store gift cards to distribute "Thanksgiving Bundles" to individuals and families in need.? #ThanksgivingDrive #SeasonOfGiving #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors

Each year the Veterans Day National Committee publishes a commemorative Veterans Day poster to honor America’s Veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. The theme for this year's poster is “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service,” designed by Myisha Godette, a retired, disabled Army Veteran from Queens, New York. In respect and recognition of the contributions our country's Veterans and their families, caregivers and survivors have made to the cause of peace and freedom around the world, thank you for your service! https://lnkd.in/guwJEvEP #VeteransDay2024 #democracy #freedom

The third week of October (October 21-27, 2024) is National Estate Planning Awareness Week.??According to Caring.com?2024 Wills Survey, over half of all Americans do not have an up-to-date estate plan and 40% of Americans think they do not have enough assets to have a Will or estate plan. For many people, estate planning is a daunting task. However, taking the time to work with an experienced estate attorney to get a proper estate plan in place can avoid exposing your loved ones and beneficiaries to complex legal proceedings and unnecessary legal fees, taxes and other expenses, while ensuring that you and your assets are properly cared for and managed in accordance with your wishes.
