Built something cool over the weekend as a test platform for automation we are doing for clients. This simple example takes input from a form in an app, records the request for the team, updates current weather information from a live API, then sends the data to OpenAI's API to create a script, that script then gets converted into beautiful natural voice narration by the ElevenLabs API, stored for use anywhere, and emailed to the user. We often use billboards, print, TV, and radio as contrasting examples to demonstrate the power of digital marketing. A small business could invest $4,500 in a local billboard and hope or they could invest in, let's say, a Facebook/Instagram campaign. With a $4,500 budget for Facebook ads in the Greater Cincinnati metro area, you could achieve approximately 460,736 impressions or around 7,143 clicks, depending on whether you use CPM or CPC bidding strategies. The actual reach can vary based on several factors, including ad quality, targeting, and competition during the campaign period. Billboards can be very effective when used in conjunction with other advertising and done over a relatively long time which can be cost prohibitive for small businesses.
