On Thursday, November 7th, we held our first joint Industry Innovation Tradeshow with industry partners SMACNA and Washington DC Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association in North Bethesda, MD. We kicked off the morning with educational sessions varying in topic and target audience, including culture-driven success with Frank Favaro, BIM coordination/change orders, and AI in construction with Chris Carr. Following those sessions, attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch and had the chance to network with 25 of the industry's most innovative manufacturers/suppliers. From advanced technologies to game-changing tools, this year's tradeshow was all about driving progress through innovation and fostering valuable connections! Yesterday, our UMD Student Chapter read to a group of third-grade students and donated a $1,200 check to Francis T. Evans Elementary School to use towards gym equipment and school supplies. Way to go! ??

On Wednesday, October 9th, we hosted our 16th Annual Student Chapter Golf Tournament at the UMD Golf Course in College Park, MD. Over 140 contractor members and industry partners came out in support of our student chapters. The proceeds from the tournament help fund scholarships, chapter materials/events and travel expenses to attend MCAA conventions. From September 26 to September 28, students from University of Maryland and Virginia Tech attended GreatFutures in Seattle, WA. While there, students attended powerful sessions regarding the mechanical industry. Students also participated in a game of golf at Top Golf, toured MacDonald Miller- Facility Solutions, and the Seattle aquarium. The convention concluded with VT winning trivia!

From Sunday, September 22nd, to Wednesday, September 26th, MCAMW staff, contractor/supplier members, and our local union partners attended the 2024 MSCA Conference at the stunning Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. From the informative, educational sessions and roundtables to the networking events, all attendees got to experience the incredible culture of Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA)/MSCA first-hand and look forward to the continued growth and prosperity of our industry!?

On Tuesday, September 10th, we hosted our Membership Meeting at Mission Navy Yard and spent the rest of the night at Nationals Park! Regardless of the game result, MCAMW members and their family’s enjoyed great company & amazing views. Here at MCAMW, we are grateful to have a membership that truly feels like one big family - thank you to each & every one of you!

On Thursday, August 22nd, MCAMW members gathered for our quarterly networking event at The Black Sheep in Manassas, VA. Attendees enjoyed live music, great company and had a chance to win some awesome raffle prizes! Comment below where you'd like to see us host the next one??

Another annual event attendance record was broken at today’s Family Float in Harpers Ferry, WV! Over 100 MCAMW members, their families and friends came out to enjoy a relaxing float down the Shenandoah River. Thank you to River & Trail for having us - we’ll see you next year!
