Our contractors and unions have been onsite from day one, laying the groundwork of our nation’s capital. We stand proud alongside our Plumbers Local 5 Washington DC partners!
Situated on the National Mall between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial opened to the public in April 2004. The stunning fountains, a centerpiece of the memorial, were installed by the skilled members of Local 5. We’ve been there from the beginning and will continue to support and strengthen our great community for years to come. On Tuesday, January 14th, we held our Quarterly Membership Meeting in Gaithersburg, MD. We were honored to host a powerful session titled "Leading with Compassion: Mental Health and Wellbeing Moves for Leaders and Teams" led by Chris Baer of Mandala Institute. In today’s fast-paced world, prioritizing mental health is more important than ever. Our members learned actionable strategies to lead with empathy, support team wellbeing, and foster a healthier, more resilient workplace culture. Following the session, our current Board President, Michael Moran, had the honor of presenting the prestigious MCAMW President’s Award to Nathan Lage before passing the gavel to our 2025 President, Mark Crockett. Together with our amazing membership, each of you has been a vital part of our success in 2024, and we’re thrilled to continue this journey with you as we look ahead to an even more impactful 2025. Here's to another year of growth, collaboration, and success!
