MC2 Civil worked around the clock to revitalize Texas Avenue for METRO in time for Astros Opening Day! Mayor Whitmire was instrumental in making it happen! Go Astros!

Houston, TX - This past weekend we had crews around the clock installing a critical waterline interconnect as part of The City of Houston water system. Once repairs are complete, the new 72" water main will be put into service. Once in service, the city will be able to bypass the existing main when TxDOT mobilizes to reconstruct the 59 corridor on the east side of Downtown.

With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved friend, Vernon Plowman, on January 28, 2025. Born October 12, 1956, in Galveston, Texas, he graduated in 1975 from O’Connell High School in Galveston and is a proud member of the Texas A&M Class of 1979 and the Lone Star Tailgating Association. His passions include hunting, fishing, golf, and Texas A&M sports. He was very proud to be associated with MC2 Civil, where he has worked since its inception. He was successful because he had a special way of relating to all he met, whether owners, engineers, subcontractors, or employees; Vernon was professional and relatable. A service will be held at 11 am on February 7, 2025, at J Levy & Termini Funeral Home, 2128 Broadway Avenue J, Galveston, TX 77550. Vernon was a proud Aggies, Houston Astros and Jimmy Buffett fan and requested that his friends and family dress accordingly for the funeral. Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Vernon Plowman’s name to O’Connell College Preparatory School, Galveston, TX. Farewell, our friend; your MC2 family will miss you every day. We don't cry because it's over; we smile because it happened. Your memory will forever be a blessing.

The reconstruction of the Ben Wilson Corridor for The University of Houston-Victoria is one of the more aesthetically pleasing projects we have completed to-date. Happy ASCE Day! The American Society of Civil Engineering is celebrating 172 Years of engineering excellence. ASCE has been with me throughout my career and afforded me many educational and leadership opportunities. Here is my earliest experience with ASCE at Texas Tech. Our concrete canoe was named "Diver Down" and it was painted to reflect Van Halen's Diver Down Album.
