Obviously they aren't idiots. But are they wrong? Not quite. They just don't see the full picture. In this article, I argue that while most conversations have centered around “where” people will work, the real question is “who” will drive the work? As freelance industry experts know, the "who" is no longer just full time or your existing contingent talent strategy. The "who" is now a fluid, flexible, and freelance workforce, and a freelance workforce requires a fundamentally different mindset and strategy. As industry experts also know...industry promise doesn't meet enterprise reality. Jon Younger PhD nailed it when said, “The growth of freelancing is just as good a bet as Elon Musk, but you wouldn’t know it from the behavior of big corporates.
