This is why we must keep doing what we’re doing — this must end.
By 2050, breast cancer is projected to reach staggering levels, with an estimated 3.2 million new cases and 1.1 million lives lost each year, according to a just-released United Nations report. This alarming forecast highlights the urgent need for more research to improve prevention, early detection, and treatment—work that BCRF is advancing every day. But this burden is not shared equally. Structural barriers, resources, and disparities in healthcare access mean that marginalized communities face higher mortality rates and worse outcomes. At BCRF, we are committed to funding the most advanced, equity-driven, global research to close these gaps and improve outcomes for all impacted by the disease.
