Sodium Hydroxide 50% Liquid NF In response to many customers’ needs,?Mays Chemical began manufacturing sodium hydroxide 50% solution in-house in 2020. Our offering is produced from domestically sourced, high-purity, sodium hydroxide NF pellets. Many manufacturers are currently encountering issues with quality, as their feedstock is not sourced domestically. Sodium hydroxide is?used to manufacture many everyday products, such as paper, personal care products, aluminum, commercial drain and oven cleaners, and pharmaceuticals. It’s also used in many food processing applications, such as curing foods, or helping to brown foods like pretzels, giving them their beloved crunch. Sodium hydroxide is also used to remove skin from vegetables prior to canning, as well as being used as a preservative to help prevent mold and bacteria growth. It’s main application, however, is its ability to balance and adjust the pH of products. MAYD?
