    Question 5 is currently polling as Yes, so local businesses need your help. Please support local business and their waitstaff by getting out there and voting NO on Question 5. Although from the outside it might seem like a helpful idea to bring servers up to minimum wage, the vast majority of them do not agree. A Yes vote would take hard earned money out of their pockets and cause the cost of restaurant meals to skyrocket. Rising prices will again affect servers and restaurants negatively as fewer people will be willing to go out to eat. Servers will lose money and jobs, and restaurants will close. We urge you to do the math at $6.75 for an hour on 3 tables with a $50 bill per table (this is a low estimate) vs. $15 for the hour with no tip. You will see how much money servers are losing and how much more restaurants will have to pay them with the higher costs being passed on to the customer. PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE NO ON QUESTION 5.
