??????Our team conducted a multi-day workshop gathering facilitated by experienced moderator Christina Rosalie. During the offsite team retreat, we established our 2025 organizational development and strategy plan, covering multiple overlapping projects and setting clear priorities and goals. ??With the establishment of our new office venue in the city of Friedrichshafen, Germany, we are developing the "Schaudepot" concept: Moving forward, the timeline spans from the initial groundwork to the grand opening, along with other collaborative activities and events planned for the upcoming year.?This includes both recurring and new highlights honoring the Maybach legacy and outlining very specific initiatives. ??Our goal is to strengthen collaborations with existing local partners in Southern Germany while continuing to expand our international relevance, making our projects relevant to every Maybach enthusiast and sharing the inspiration of the Maybach accomplishments. ??Fun Fact: During an outdoor hike, we even had a furry surprise visitor letting us pause for a moment - to honor and respect our nature. Dazu z?hlen sowohl wiederkehrende als auch neue Highlights, die die Legacy von Maybach würdigen. ? ?? Unser Ziel ist es, die Zusammenarbeit mit bestehenden lokalen Partnern in Süddeutschland zu st?rken und gleichzeitig unsere internationale Relevanz weiter auszubauen. So m?chten wir unsere Projekte für jeden Maybach Enthusiasten greifbar machen und die Inspiration der Maybach Erfolge mit der heutigen Generation teilen. ?? Fun Fact: W?hrend einer Wanderung in der Natur hatten wir sogar einen überraschenden pelzigen Besucher, der uns kurz innehalten lie?. ????On November 21st, 2021, Irmgard Schmid-Maybach passed away after being 98 years old. The impact and the remarkable life that Irmgard had will be remembered and honored by many. We remember the life and legacy of a woman deeply connected to the pioneering spirit of the Maybach name. As the daughter of Karl Maybach and an honorary member of the Supervisory Board of Rolls-Royce Solutions GmbH, she played an integral role in shaping the company's history. Her commitment, profound knowledge and dedication to fostering the values instilled by her father were an inspiration to all who knew her. Irmgard’s contributions extended far beyond her formal roles. We are grateful for her enduring impact and remember her extraordinary journey. ??????On November 18th, 2024, Uli Maybach, Founder of the Maybach Foundation, took part in a thought-inspiring panel discussion at the San Francisco Bay Family Office & High Net Worth Annual Conference at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Palo Alto. Moderated by Bridget Kilroy, Vice President at First Trust Family Office Practice, the panel focused on how mentorship and family legacy can inspire the next generation. ??Uli was joined by Dr. Raul Deju, Partner of Brightstar Capital Partners, author of “Yes I Can and So Can You!”, scientist and philanthropist who was offering unique perspectives on innovation and impact. Dr. Deju was also mentored by Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer and shared how that affected him. A major supporter of cancer research, he has been instrumental in establishing the UCSF-John Muir Hospital's new cancer center to advance treatment. ??Uli shared how the mentorship of Wilhelm Maybach by Gottlieb Daimler shaped his family’s legacy and inspired the mission of the Maybach Foundation: To empower exceptional individuals to make a difference. ??Two days ago, we said goodbye to Quincy Jones, a visionary whose influence stretches far beyond music into the hearts of everyone he touched. Quincy was more than an icon - he was a mentor, an inspiration and a dear friend of the Maybach Foundation. ??Quincy Jones was a creative giant whose impact spanned music, film, and television, with 28 Grammy Awards and iconic works like Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Frank Sinatra. He broke barriers as the first Black executive at a major record label and produced groundbreaking projects, from The Color Purple to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. ??Quincy first joined us in 2007 at our Maybach Foundation Mentoring Luncheon in Cannes – supported by the Maybach Brand. When Uli Maybach asked him to speak about the importance of mentorship, he didn’t hesitate. For Quincy, mentorship was personal - he credited his own mentors, like Count Basie and Clark Terry, with shaping his path. "If you can see it, you can be it," he told us. ??His commitment to lifting others up was recognized when Harvard named him their first-ever Mentor of the Year, a testament to the impact he had on so many lives. He believed deeply that one person’s success could open doors for others. His legacy of mentorship continues to resonate deeply with our mission and his friendship has been a cherished gift. ???Today, we continue to honor Quincy’s memory. The Maybach Foundation is eternally grateful to have shared a part of our journey with this extraordinary individual. Rest in peace, Quincy.

Today, October 31, 2024, the City of Friedrichshafen bid a heartfelt farewell to Mayor Andreas Brand at the Count-Zeppelin-House, marking the end of his 15 years of dedicated service. The Maybach Foundation reflects with gratitude on the close collaboration between Mayor Brand and the Maybach family, recognizing his efforts to highlight the company’s legacy as part of the city’s cultural identity. During his tenure, Mayor Brand nurtured personal connections with the family, including several visits to Irmgard Schmid-Maybach in the USA, demonstrating his commitment beyond borders. His open dialogue and support for the idea of a Maybach Museum will be remembered as part of his enduring impact. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the succeeding Mayor Simon Blümcke on his election and wish him a good and successful term in office.
