  • Exciting progress at May Ship Repair! We’re currently working on a 240ft barge, preparing it for its next big project. This vessel is a testament to our team’s dedication to quality and precision in maritime services. And in the midst of all the hard work, we had a special visit from our friendly neighborhood geese, reminding us that even in the busiest moments, there’s always time to appreciate our surroundings. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support the maritime industry with excellence. #MayShipRepair #MaritimeServices #BargeBuild #StatenIsland #Community

  • ?? Empowering Staten Island's Future at May Ship Repair! We're excited to unveil a new partnership with Hunter Roberts Construction Group, marked by the construction of a 140-foot barge. This initiative is a pivotal development for both marine construction and the wider Staten Island community. As the offshore wind sector expands, so does our commitment to cultivating a skilled workforce here in Staten Island. In collaboration with local nonprofits, we're dedicated to training and hiring fresh talent, ensuring that our community remains a central player in the maritime industry. NY State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton emphasized the project's importance, stating, "Vital infrastructure projects like this bring and keep good jobs in Staten Island. I am grateful for the skilled workers and investments that make these initiatives possible." Mohamed Adam, President of May Ship Repair, also expressed his appreciation for our partners, "We appreciate our partners like Hunter Roberts Construction Group, who provide us the opportunity to continue this legacy of marine construction on Staten Island." The project also garners strong support from representatives of Assemblyman Charles D. Fall's office, reinforcing the impact this project has on boosting Staten Island's economy. The involvement of the Staten Island Industrial Alliance (SIIA) demonstrates the power of collaboration in enabling small businesses and industries to thrive. We're proud to contribute to the growth and sustainability of our local economy and community one project at a time. #MaritimeIndustry #StatenIslandBusiness #CommunityDevelopment #WorkforceTraining #SustainableGrowth #offshorewind
