We’re excited to announce the 2024 winners of the Maxwell/Hanrahan Awards in Field Biology! In its fifth year, the program recognizes individual scientists and provides support they need to explore and test what they learn at a time when the world faces great challenges – and opportunities. Please join us in congratulating Adriana Corrales, Charley Eiseman, Flavia Monta?o-Centellas, Timothy J. Colston and Zhengyang Wang. Each scientist will receive $100,000 in unrestricted funds, supporting their individual work, elevating their diverse perspectives and enabling them to commit time to the observation and experimentation that help us better understand ourselves and the world around us. Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation powers people who explore and ask, teach and try, create and captivate. They support individual scientists, teachers, conservationists and creators whose diverse perspectives enable us to discover new things about ourselves and our world. Learn more about their work at www.Maxwell-Hanrahan.org.

Love this piece in The Chronicle of Philanthropy about the Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation's Awards in Craft: Said says the award feels like recognition for his body of work and the sacrifices he’s made for his craft —and that it’s a chance for him to reinvest in his imagination. “Life is not easy, especially when you’re working with art,” he says. “It just makes you continue. You feel like you’re in the right place.”

The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation was thrilled to support so many teachers to meet classroom needs through DonorsChoose.
Wow! Thanks to the Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation and the DonorsChoose community, we supported 4,248 projects at rural schools! Over $1 million in school supplies are going directly to classrooms in rural areas. We’re so grateful for the donors who showed up and gave generously. AND to educators teaching at rural schools, thank you for dreaming so big for your students! https://lnkd.in/eysiCquj
