Traveling around the world on solar power to showcase the sun’s strength – that’s the SolarButterfly, an initiative strongly supported by maxon. SolarButterfly has already completed half of its journey through South Africa in less than two weeks. From Cape Town, the route followed the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth and then through the Karoo. The team, consisting of Martin Baumeler and Walter K?ppel, is now just outside Pretoria. In almost every town along the way, the team was invited by local schools and villagers to present the SolarButterfly and its story to hundreds of students. In Bloemfontein, the team also stopped at the Technical University, and the next invitation comes from a ranch south of Johannesburg, where they will take a short break over the weekend before continuing to Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Kruger National Park. Lars Forster takes a dominant start-to-finish victory at the highly competitive HC race in Banyoles (Spain)! ?? Also strong performance from Vital Albin, who finished in the Top 10 with a solid 10th place! In extremely muddy conditions, both riders proved that their hard winter training has paid off. ?? Lars Forster: "I didn't plan to take the lead so early, but once I was in front, I just kept my pace." ?? Vital Albin: "It was incredibly muddy and technically challenging – finishing 10th is a great result for me!" maxon congratulates both athletes to their great performances. The team from AMZ Racing recently visited the maxon headquarters for a photoshoot with their current race car, "Dufour". Of course, we couldn’t let them leave without asking CEO Samuel Vonder Mühll how the Formula Student season 2024 went for them.
