It was a busy afternoon with SkyWatch and Esri at #PDAC2025 yesterday. We had a great time and John Roos reports there was a lot of interest in how mining companies can access our high-resolution satellite through Content Store via ArcGIS for their operational workflows. The conference continues through Wednesday, so reach out to John if you want to discuss how satellite imagery can modernize mining operations. #MiningInnovation #GeospatialIntelligence #GIS #satelliteimagery
Yesterday was a great first day at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention! Thank you to all who attended Modernizing the Mining Industry With Cutting-Edge Satellite Imagery and GIS Technology, presented in partnership with Maxar Technologies and Esri. At its core, our collaboration is about bringing geospatial intelligence closer to the people who need it most—helping companies make faster, more informed decisions using cutting-edge satellite imagery, advanced mapping tools, and seamless data access. The #mining industry is evolving, and geospatial technology is playing a bigger role than ever before. Regulatory pressures, environmental considerations, and the need for operational efficiency are driving companies to integrate geospatial intelligence into every stage of their projects. By working together, Maxar, Esri, and SkyWatch are making it easier for mining companies to harness the full power of satellite data—from exploration to reclamation. We believe that access to the right data, at the right time, can give companies a competitive edge, improve sustainability efforts, and reduce risks. It was great to have so many industry leaders join us for our evening reception, and we're grateful for those who chose to spend some of their time at #PDAC2025 with us. Special thanks to John Roos, Ryan Stage, Chris Sheil, Elvis Takow, PhD, Darin Bryce, Jordan Fox, Marc Fleck, Jody Andruszkiewicz, and Obi Okoye for sharing your expertise.
