The launch of Raptor, our new software suite for GPS-resilient autonomous drone navigation and operation, created a lot of discussion this week. Satellite imagery from our new WorldView Legion satellites is now transforming our imagery basemaps: we're processing WorldView Legion’s 30 cm-class native resolution imagery into 15 cm HD, allowing us to deliver greater quantities of Vivid Advanced basemaps to customers. 15 cm HD resolution makes finer details—like road markings and infrastructure—more distinguishable while maintaining the benefits of large-area coverage. This means fresher, clearer and more detailed imagery than ever before for the foundational satellite layer in consumer apps, national maps and simulation software! Thanks to WorldView Legion’s expanded capacity, we’ll deliver 60 million sq km of 30 cm imagery in Vivid Standard in 2025—a 50% boost in coverage! Plus, we’re nearly doubling the availability of 15 cm HD imagery in Vivid Advanced to support urban development, mission planning and map creation. Maxar’s statement on media reports regarding access rights to Maxar imagery:? ? Maxar has contracts with the U.S. government and dozens of allied and partner nations around the world to provide satellite imagery and other geospatial data. Each customer makes their own decisions on how they use and share that data.? ? One of those contracts is GEGD (the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery program), a U.S. government program that provides access to commercial satellite imagery that has been tasked and collected by the U.S. government. The U.S. government has temporarily suspended Ukrainian accounts in GEGD.?? ? We take our contractual commitments very seriously. There is no change to the way we support our other customers nor their programs or contracts.??
