"The barrier to entry in influencer marketing is low, but the barrier to success is high" Casey's latest post calls out a "too good to be true" influencer package that should have brands running for the hills. Do you think it's a "scam", as some are saying? Join the conversation here:
Influencer consultant for brands (OREO, Land O’Lakes, Frigidaire, Albertsons and more) and agencies (Edelman, Ketchum, Weber Shandwick, etc.)
A marketing agency prices their influencer marketing package at $9,000. This package includes creative briefs, list building and contracting ~100 influencers, managing influencer payments, and reporting/analytics. Their agency rate (as listed throughout the deck) is $100/hour. The math alone should have you running for the hills. ??♂??? ??? That works out to roughly 54 minutes spent on each influencer. Total. Period. Who's going to feel that the most? The influencers (who are being herded through a campaign like cattle)? Or the brand (when they are partnered with influencers who are happy being herded through a campaign like cattle)? Folks...please remember: The barrier to entry is LOW, but the barrier to success is HIGH. Choose wisely.
