Very excited to share that I’ve been selected to participate in the Levan NSU Broward Center of Innovation and Maverc Technologies Cyber Workforce Development Program. As a transitioning veteran and military spouse, I truly believe this opportunity will prove a critical step as I work to build a new career in cybersecurity following my time in aviation after leaving active-duty. While I am also continuing my education and pursuing a BS in Information Technology set to graduate next year, programs like this give veterans like myself a deeper, real-world perspective into cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in areas like threat hunting, incident response, and governance risk compliance. I'm particularly looking forward to the mentorship the program is commited to providing as well as the live-fire exercises offered to put my skills to the test. I'm ready to bring my work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to this program and to the broader cybersecurity community. I know I can be an asset to any team willing to give me the chance, and this program brings me closer to the career I’ve been working toward. I look forward to learning, growing, and building lasting relationships with industry experts and other veterans along the way.
