He was #84 in your New Orleans Saints program but he's #1 in CAGLA's heart. Rich Mauti was stand out NFL receiver for New Orleans Saints and he's also a CAGLA Trustee. Through his Rich Mauti Cancer Fund he has helped hundreds of cancer patients across our state. Please take a min to listen to Rich explain why he thinks our CAGLA Conference will continue to grow exponentially. Click below to watch Rich's 30 sec interview:

  • Pediatric cancer is a challenge no child should have to face. Every day, brave kids like Jayden show incredible strength in their fight against this illness. Yesterday, we had the meaningful opportunity to visit Ochsner Children's Hospital and present a $2,500 check for their Pediatric Oncology Assistance Fund. Meeting young patients and the dedicated doctors working with them truly inspired us. Since 1981, we’ve been committed to fighting cancer in Louisiana, and this donation represents our support for local children and families navigating these tough times. Every child deserves a chance at a healthy, cancer-free life. Together, we can help make that happen. #PediatricCancerAwareness

  • We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to fight cancer in Louisiana. The Mauti Cancer Fund is proud to be a special donor for the first Lung Cancer Mobile Screening Van in the state, in partnership with the St. Tammany Health System and St. Tammany Health Foundation. This groundbreaking initiative will enhance access to early detection and timely intervention, empowering our community to prioritize their lung health and well-being. Our organization has made a transformational gift of $500,000 to help purchase and equip Louisiana's first Lung Cancer Mobile Screening Van. This innovative mobile unit will revolutionize early detection efforts in our region, offering: ? Lung cancer screenings ? Coronary calcium assessments ? Aorta measurements ? Vertebral bone density scans This comprehensive approach aligns perfectly with our mission to improve cancer care access and outcomes in Louisiana. Since 1981, we've been committed to this cause, raising over $3.5 million in the past four years alone for cancer care in our state. We're deeply grateful for this partnership with St. Tammany and eagerly anticipate the positive impact this mobile unit will have on our community's health. By bringing these critical screenings directly to local events and underserved areas, we're taking a proactive step in the fight against cancer. Thank you to everyone who has supported our mission! • Honored to be a part of the amazing Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana (CAGLA) team! https://lnkd.in/g7-pkSQg

Oh, what an evening at Copeland Tower! CAGLA's board of trustees and scientific advisory board members held a thrilling quarterly meeting! The best part? We had speakers from Rise St. James who shared their inspiring stories battling the Petrochemical Industry in Cancer Alley! Led by Sharon Lavigne, 2021’s Goldman Environmental Prize winner, Rise St. James galvanized community opposition and successfully defeated the construction of a $1.25 billion plastics manufacturing plant in 2018. CAGLA and Rise St. James hope to collaborate in the future in an effort to create new Cancer prevention and early detection programs to treat the current residents in both St. John and St. James parishes. We're in full swing planning the 2025 CAGLA NeauxCancer Conference, happening 3/27 - 3/29 at the Roosevelt Hotel, New Orleans. We're expanding with 4 exciting CME/CE Tracks and 1 Investment/Innovation Track. Our 2025 Conference Registration Website, featuring an updated Sponsor Brochure, goes live soon. Get ready for an amazing event!?Best, Chad?
