?? The next wave of GeoAI ?? The future of geospatial intelligence is here, and Matter Intelligence is leading the way. We’re building cutting-edge sensors and software to map and monitor the shape, composition, and temperature of the entire planet at unprecedented resolution. What makes Matter special? ????Traditional computer vision relies on inference from shape and RGB color. Leveraging high-resolution spectral data allows AI models to directly reason with specific information rather than infer, unlocking game-changing insights across industries. ?? Powered by NVIDIA & AWS, Matter Data Engine will process hundreds of petabytes of satellite imagery annually. From pinpointing the source of methane emissions to mapping critical minerals at sub-meter scale, to finding hail marks on roofs, the applications are limitless—insurance, climate, mining, defense, and more. This next step in GeoAI will take us from Earth Observation to Earth Explanation, and Matter is proud to be at the forefront. Matter’s CEO Vishnu Sridhar will be participating in a session at NVIDIA GTC at the AWS booth (3/19 at 5pm). Find him there! #GeospatialAI #SatelliteData #MachineLearning #NVIDIA #AWS #GTC
关于我们
Matter specializes in advancing sensors and geospatial AI that capture "extreme-resolution" images of natural and artificial materials from space to surface, creating never-seen data of all matter globally. Our sensors simultaneously measure shape, composition, and temperature to understand and predict real-world events like never before. Matter's data accelerates computer vision and contextual geospatial modeling to unlock the next generation of intelligence.

?? Matter Intelligence Goes to London! ???? Last week, Vishnu Sridhar, Nathan Stein, Elizabeth Foughty, MBA, and Adrian Leonard headed to London for the InsTech Exponential Risk Conference and a whirlwind week of cat modeling, customer meetings, and curries! Over two action-packed days, we met with reinsurers, carriers, and analytics providers, diving deep into the biggest challenges and opportunities shaping the future of (re)insurance. ???? A major highlight? Our CEO Vishnu Sridhar took the stage to explore the game-changing potential of ultraspectral and thermal data in insurance—revealing how this technology can uncover hidden risks like hail damage on roofs. ??? Did we miss you at the event? Let’s connect! Did we meet? We’d love to continue the conversation! ???? Did You Know ?? Instruments built by Matter team members are already orbiting Earth and on the surface of Mars. Matter co-founders first witnessed the power of novel #hyperspectral capabilities while working on NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and Air Force Research Laboratory programs. ?? Matter CEO Vishnu Sridhar developed advanced sensors for NASA’s Mars Perseverance Rover, like the SuperCam that revealed new insights about the red planet. ??? Matter Technical Director Thomas Chrien led the development of AFRL's TacSat-3 ARTEMIS hyperspectral imaging payload. TacSat-3 was revolutionary for its time and remains the highest resolution hyperspectral instrument known to orbit the Earth—until Matter's EARTH-1 launches. ??? Thomas also pioneered hyperspectral capabilities for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory's AVIRIS, an airborne sensor that collects imagery across 224 spectral bands. AVIRIS identifies, measures, and monitors Earth's surface to study the global environment and climate change. At Matter, we’re reimagining the way we see the world with EARTH?1—a first-of-its-kind satellite that uses advanced hyperspectral imaging to uncover hidden details that ordinary cameras miss, enabling us to measure everything from the materials on your rooftop to the trajectory of hypersonic objects. EARTH-1 will power #GeoAI that will provide real-time measurement of any matter on Earth, 24/7. Stay tuned!

?? Our CEO Vishnu Sridhar returned to his alma mater earlier this week, where he spoke to students in professor Matthew Weinzierl's #space economics class at Harvard Business School about the future of satellite imaging. Vishnu was joined by Ian Vorbach of Portal Space Systems & Mark Keremedjiev of Planet. The group discussed product market fit and emerging applications and markets in both the commercial and public sectors. ??
