When a brand encounters an "oh s**t" moment that risks its reputation, how it responds can make all the difference. Over the weekend, Mattel faced backlash following a packaging error that accidentally directed customers to an adult site—a big “oops” for sure. The good news? Mattel responded quickly, owning up to the mistake and taking swift action, showing its commitment to customer care and transparency. An essential, often overlooked step post-crisis is for brands to look inward, analyze their processes, and implement solutions to prevent a repeat incident.
