Well this is huge. We are thrilled to announce that through the use of MatrixSpace Radar, Campbell Police Department (CPD) is expanding its DFR Program to single person operations, flying day and night at higher altitudes. Significantly, this is the first ever Federal Aviation Administration COA granted with radar in the US for first responder operations. CPD is the first department, using optical and radar sensors, to incorporate radar in a Part 91.113(b) waiver request to conduct single-person operations, which requires only one operator for flight operations. Adding radar also allows Campbell PD to operate without human visual observers at night. ? Based upon MatrixSpace Radar, we teamed with Dedrone by Axon and DroneSense, Inc. to remove the human visual observer and to secure this critical Federal Aviation Administration waiver. ? Campbell Police Chief Gary Berg explains "MatrixSpace has helped revolutionize how we approach situational awareness by providing next-level fused radar capabilities. With this FAA waiver, our department can now deploy drones more efficiently, ensuring that we continue leading the way in utilizing technology to protect our community." We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician to work with R&D and Production teams to deliver unique portable radar systems for safety and security purposes. This position is part of a growing, innovative product development team. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone with the following skills: ?? Experience in radio systems products. Must understand and have experience in RF systems and implementation of these systems in real world environments. mmWave experience a plus. ?? Demonstrated hardware debugging skills using bench equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DC power, etc.). ?? Strong problem solving, rework, and repair skills including soldering and assembly of complex PCB assemblies and products. ?? Demonstrated success in technical problem-solving and repair capabilities. ?? Experience in a small through large scalable manufacturing and test environment a plus. Requirements: ?? Electrical Engineering Technology Certification/Degree or equivalent required. ?? 8+ years of relevant work experience ?? The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. ??
