Matrix PDM Engineering and our sister subsidiary Matrix Service, performed the engineering, fabrication, and construction of seven storage tanks at the Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. facility. The tanks support the production of up to 15,000 barrels per day of highly refined, renewable fuels. Over 20 years ago, Matrix designed and constructed the EcoEléctrica LNG import terminal in Penuelas, Puerto Rico that supplies natural gas to a local power plant. In 2020, the facility was local to a M6.4 earthquake. Matrix PDM Engineering supported EcoEléctrica in their efforts to bring the facility up to regulatory standards and the affected tank up to full operating capacity.
