The Murphy Administration has approved 13 new Brownfield Development Areas (BDAs) across 10 communities, paving the way for revitalization and economic growth in areas that need it most. Through NJDEP’s nationally recognized BDA program, these sites that were once vacant or underutilized will receive funding and support to become vibrant spaces that benefit residents, businesses, and the environment. Matrix is honored to have worked on 2 of the 13 BDA locations (West Orange and Passaic) and has provided the municipalities with preliminary assessments, site and remedial investigations, LSRP services, UST removals, Biennial certifications, and ongoing groundwater, soil, and vapor intrusion investigations and monitoring. We’re turning challenges into opportunities for cleaner, stronger communities with the help of the DEP, West Orange, and Passaic!
