Explaining the materials industry is to, what I call, "non-materials people" is challenging. Companies across the country specialize in certain niches of the industry to provide processing power and storage for materials to move through. Traders and distributors provide financial and logistical liquidity to the market to improve efficiency and minimize volatility. The entire supply chain is similar to the pipes in your house. Once material flows, it must continue to flow or backups can lead to chaos.
Like the pipes of a house built in the early 20th century, our industry too has some improvements to make. For so long, we have collaborated on emails and phone calls. As the digital era has grown on us, we have become overstimulated by spam and nonsense that distracts us from what is essential for our business. With Matium, we are dedicated to building infrastructure and tools for this industry to connect and optimize. We take the approach of democratizing the best infrastructure to everyone and improving the experience for the folks that do the work. Made for you, to make for all.
I'll be posting flowcharts for the rest of the year, let me know what you'd like to see more of! #supplychain #plastics #reshoring #decarbonization
