And the fun continues! We had the honor of traveling to Jamaica to meet with a number of local security companies as part of the recent U.S. Department of Commerce Global Diversity Export Initiative (GDEI) Trade Mission to the Caribbean. I will admit that I have had this wonderful island circled on a map since I first watched a famous bobsled movie 30-years ago, growing up far away in the Pacific Northwest near Seattle, and it did not disappoint.
I want to thank the numerous professional and sophisticated companies that were kind enough to meet with us, invite us into their operational environments to discuss their businesses and talk in length of how our American brands can add value to their security solutions. And, most importantly, collaborate to better serve the Jamaican community by contributing to their increased safety and security. There are a lot of competent companies in Kingston that are clearly making a noticeable difference for their customers, each with its own unique value, and we are excited about the real opportunity to bring American quality products and service to this market.

Most critically, a million thanks to Danielle Barnes-MacLeod with the U.S. Department of State for a world-class Trade Mission and Gold Key-esque experience in Jamaica. We couldn't have asked for a better commercial companion, who not only had an extensive relationship with each of the security companies but entertained my obsession for all things local. As a foodie, the list of Jamaican cuisine options are endless and Danielle's selections did not disappoint. Better yet, her ability to get an audience with the top security companies in the country coupled with consistently sound advice will prove invaluable for our entry into the Jamaican security space. And lastly, to Mr. Alton Gyles with JUTA Tours for tolerating all of my endless questions about Jamaica, its history and culture, and for making our tour throughout Kingston an enjoyable one.
American products are superior in quality and service, that well-earned reputation internationally holds true, but it takes in-person advocates to make the case that the cost difference compared to other cheaper imports is worth the trade-off. Compound that factor if its newer and lesser known Americans brand to the market, which we overwhelmingly represent. We are looking forward to securing an agreement with a local company here soon and cannot wait to service our future Jamaican customers.
