This quarter Matic Cares is supporting the Eternal Kings Motorcycle Society Phoenix, a nonprofit organization founded by Matic advisor Bob L. The organization supports youth in the Phoenix, Arizona area through its "Fresh Start Youth Program" for young adults looking to improve their quality of life. It also hosts a "Hope for the Holidays" event, providing essential items and other necessities during the holiday season. In addition to donations, Matic employees will be filling and assembling hygiene kits and volunteering at a "Feed the Homeless" event to benefit the Eternal Kings Motorcycle Society. ?? Meet Ivie-Jean N., an Advisor at Matic! ??Role and responsibilities: Ivie-Jean began her Matic career as an Inside Sales Representative and has since been promoted to Advisor 2. She also runs the Matic Book Club, which she created and has been managing for over a year. "It's a good way to promote cross-departmental engagement. I wanted to get remote folks engaged with onsite employees." She has also been a team lead multiple times and was a previous Maticorn award winner. Maticorn awards recognize employees who embody Matic's core values of #quality, #transparency, and #fun. As for her key to success, Ivie-Jean says having a "why" and staying positive is important. "Stay focused on the day-to-day goal and trust that no matter how hard things get, they will work out." Ivie-Jean credits the friendships and the supportive culture as the best part of working here. "I feel like I have a work family here and people are rooting for me," she says. "On my team, there’s no unhealthy competition — just support and motivation. We uplift each other and embrace everyone for who they are. I’m especially grateful to our manager, Bernadette, for fostering such a positive and inclusive culture." ??Personal interests: Outside of work and when she's not reading, Ivie-Jean is an artist and photographer and enjoys attending church.
