Beyond being Ms. Wheelchair California, Jullienne Dallara has been a part of the Abilities Expo team and a close friend of Matia Mobility for years. A few weeks ago, at the Abilities Expo in Ft. Lauderdale, she tried out the Tek RMD M1 for the first time. I think it's fair to say she loved it!

We love to see the happy and emotional reactions from those who experience being upright and mobile for the first time in a long time while using the Tek RMD M1. One of our reps, Robert, giving a demo of the Tek RMD M1 with the outdoor kit at Neuroworx in Sandy, UT. The outdoor kit has a slightly bigger footprint than the indoor kit but has a higher ground clearance and large tires that are better suited for outdoor terrains. Julie has been living with a T4 Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) for 21 years, following an accident where she was jumped on while swimming. Julie recently began using the Tek RMD M1 almost daily for at least an hour. This has helped her immensely by allowing her to stretch her hip and ankle muscles and bear weight on her bones. It has also made daily tasks like cooking more convenient, as she can now see over countertops and pots. In addition to the benefits she anticipated, Julie has experienced unexpected advantages with the Tek RMD M1, such as giving and receiving hugs at eye level, meaningfully enhancing her social interactions. She is enthusiastic about incorporating the Tek RMD M1 into her daily routine even more as she continues to explore its potential. Julie appreciates the well-thought-out design of the device and looks forward to seeing how it will further improve her quality of life.

One of our representatives, Don, had a great time showing the staff at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois how life-changing the Tek RMD M1 can be for those with walking disabilities. They were very impressed with what our device can do and excited to see how it can improve the lives of their patients. User Spotlight: Sharon Sharon has been living with a complete T5/T12 spinal cord injury for the past 11 and a half years following a car accident. Since then, she has required the use of a wheelchair. However, for the past 10 months, she has been using the Tek RMD M1, which has greatly improved her daily life and health. Sharon knew the Tek RMD M1 would help with issues like maintaining bone density, improving her hip flexors, and allowing her to reach items easily. While it has fulfilled those expectations, the Tek RMD M1 has also provided unexpected benefits, such as a noticeable overall improvement in her physical and mental health. Sharon firmly believes that standing is a crucial aspect of both physical and mental well-being for wheelchair users, and she encourages others to consider how life-changing this kind of device can be!
