关于我们
MathDash is the online math-competition platform that would have gotten us addicted to learning when we were kids. Competitors engage with interesting math challenges, climb the leaderboard, and ultimately learn problem solving skills without realizing it! Akshaj and Daniel met online in 2011 because they were two of the biggest players in an online math racing game. After playing a combined 20,000 games on the site, we met in person at the Math Olympiad Summer Program and then at MIT, having won countless national and international math accolades. We believe gamifying learning experiences is a super powerful motivator for learning, and that some people just love math. We can revolutionize the way people learn to think and build a competitive game that will send students to the frontiers of math.

MathDash (YC W24) is turning math into a sport. The founders of Scale AI, Perplexity AI, and Cognition AI all picked up the problem-solving skills they would need to succeed by doing competitive math. This format sends competitors to the frontiers of math and science by encouraging innovative thinking, fostering a community, and promoting a love for math. Unfortunately, competitive math is underserved. The problems are too hard, the barrier to entry is too high, and the competitions that do exist are too infrequent. MathDash makes competitive math accessible to everyone. They have problems ranging from addition to advanced theory and host daily contests that only require an internet-connected device to join. You compete against people who are your level, and you can focus on learning the skills you want to learn. MathDash already has 200 of the best competitive mathletes participating in their tournaments, and users have solved over 400,000 arithmetic questions! Daniel Sun and Akshaj K. met 14 years ago doing competitive math and were top scorers on the USA Math Olympiad. MathDash is the competitive learning game that they would have wanted when they were kids. Congrats on the launch, Daniel and Akshaj!
