The Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program for Paraprofessionals aims to enhance community-based experiential training for students preparing to become mental health workers, peer support specialists, and other behavioral health paraprofessionals. A special focus is placed on the knowledge and understanding of the specific concerns of children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma and are at risk for behavioral health disorders. Mental health conditions are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth, impacting at least 1 in 5 women during the perinatal period, with individuals from historically marginalized communities at even higher risk. Approximately 75% of those affected remain untreated. To help health care professionals learn more about these conditions, Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance and CVS Health have curated a database of perinatal mental health trainings. Our user-friendly, searchable database makes it easy to find a training based on your schedule, profession, and topic of interest. Learn more at https://bit.ly/3FhrtKI.
