Yesterday, Materic celebrated a great milestone as we cut the ribbon on our new nanofiber production installation. The project is focused on scaling up carbon nanofiber membrane manufacturing to establish a domestic supply chain of gas diffusion layers for hydrogen fuel cells. More than $11 million in funding from the State of Maryland and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will enable us to advance #CleanEnergy technologies, add #nanofiber #production capacity, and create #manufacturing #jobs in Pigtown. Lt Governor Aruna Miller U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen President Anthony L. Jenkins of Coppin State University Dr. Dimitrios Papageorgopoulos of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Karen Swider-Lyons of Plug Power Councilmember Phylicia Porter CEO Colin Harmer of Materic Executive Officer Kelli Booth of Early Charm Thanks, Ken Malone and Kelli Booth of Early Charm for leading and coordinating a great event. And special thanks to the 100+ customers and community leaders who joined us for the big day.
