In his article for World Pipelines, MATCOR’s Ted Huck addresses a critical challenge for pipeline operators: managing aging coatings while maintaining effective cathodic protection (CP). His innovative solutions, particularly the use of linear anodes, remain essential tools for extending pipeline life and reducing costs. In one project, a 5-kilometer pipeline segment saved over $1.5 million by using linear anodes instead of recoating—extending its service life and improving performance.
