The Masters of Professional Studies in Branding is the first and longest running program of its kind in the world, and offers a select group of students an opportunity to study with some of the most accomplished brand experts working today. This accelerated one-year graduate degree program is a challenging multi-disciplinary experience of in-class lectures, real-world client projects, unique and progressive workshops, examination of classic business school case studies, individual one-on-one professional mentorship, group and personal projects. The foundation of the Masters of Professional Studies in Branding is the deep exploration and understanding of the role brand strategy plays in business, behavior, marketing and culture. During the year, students will develop an understanding of diverse branding strategies and will include courses on go-to-market research techniques, brand development life cycles, semiotics and visual communication, business-to-business and business-to-consumer frameworks, history, cultural anthropology, trend forecasting, economics, statistics, behavioral psychology, persuasion, brand management and design. In addition, we investigate marketing challenges involved in creating, sustaining and reinventing brands as well as gain an understanding of corporate level discourse.

    Let's talk about the Jaguar in the room ?? Jaguar has made waves with its latest rebrand, signaling a dramatic transformation into an ultra-luxury, all-electric vehicle brand. The historic marque, under JLR, unveiled a minimalist logo, a vibrant campaign, and a new identity described as “Exuberant Modernism.” What Worked: Jaguar broke conventions by releasing a bold and vibrant campaign that didn’t show a car. This daring move positions Jaguar as a disruptor, signaling that it’s ready to shake up the EV space and cater to a younger, more affluent, sustainability-focused audience. It’s daring—and for a brand in need of reinvention, disruption might just be the strategy to stay in the game. What Didn’t: Critics lament the loss of heritage symbols like the "growler" logo and the understated elegance Jaguar once embodied along with acute critcism arising for the new visual identity itself. The lack of a car in the video left many scratching their heads, and some questioned whether this rebrand alienates loyalists. Elon Musk’s viral critique (“Do you sell cars?”) added fuel to the backlash. Every rebrand invites backlash. The challenge isn’t in avoiding criticism but in managing the narrative.     There's a new product category in town: Modern Soda ?? Once known as functional or healthy soda, Walmart has created an entire section dedicated to these beverages that have been gaining popularity over the years. Modern sodas are healthier alternatives to traditional sodas, featuring probiotic properties, natural sugars, and lower calorie counts. This category is dominating the market, with many brands experiencing skyrocketing revenues: Poppi, a prebiotic soda launched in 2020, has seen major growth and hit $100 million in 2024. Zevia, a zero-calorie, naturally sweetened drink, generated $153 million this year. Olipop, another prebiotic soda, is projected to reach an incredible $500 million by the end of 2024. It's a win-win situation for both Walmart and healthy soda brands. This new category highlights Walmart's dedication towards 'better for you products'. Meanwhile, with Walmart paving the way, sales for modern sodas are expected to continue growing as other retailers like Target and grocery stores follow suit — creating even bigger opportunities for these market disruptors.     An Anime Mascot for the Catholic Church ? Say hello to Luce, the Catholic Church’s newest move to connect with today’s youth. Designed by tokidoki creator Simone Legno, this chibi-style (also known as super deformation (SD), is a style of caricature originating in Japan) mascot is here to represent Vatican for the 2025 Jubilee Year. Luce's design features a yellow raincoat, muddy boots, and a walking staff, symbolizing perseverance through life's challenges. She also wears rosary beads and has scallop shell motifs in her eyes, referencing the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.
