Through music, sports, arts and dialogue, MasterPeace will help lead the way to a more sustainable world with less armed conflict. MasterPeace focuses on mobilizing talents for peacebuilding. The world has seven billion inhabitants. We view them as seven billion sources of talent and energy. With global and local events, innovative campaigning, the International Day of Peace, our 2.0 platform, social media, local MasterPeace clubs and especially art, sports and music, we invite men and women from all continents and all cultural backgrounds to show leadership and use their talent and energy for building peace. MasterPeace offers a platform for a large community of social entrepreneurs, volunteers, bloggers, musicians, businesses and active citizens to connect together and support with actions, as we believe “Minds are like parachutes, they only function when open.” Millions are already involved in co-creating the movement throughout the world. The Great Mind Summit Regional Edition, held on November 22, 2024, at the Regional Assembly Hall, Up Station Bamenda, brought together over 150 participants to focus on renewable energy, vocational education, and youth empowerment under the EU Erasmus-funded Cameroon RenewED Project. The event opened with welcoming remarks from MINPMEESA Regional Delegate Ngangjo Cliff Ntutieh, an inspiring keynote by CNYC Mezam Divisional President Ndifon Peterson, and a powerful address by SDO for Mezam Rene Njoise Soubo, emphasizing renewable energy’s role in creating sustainable opportunities. A highlight was the Student Project Showcase featuring 25 innovative projects, including a self-powered hydro pump for agriculture, a solar-powered charcoal stove, and a hybrid solar-hydro energy system. These projects demonstrated youth creativity and practical solutions to energy challenges. Dr. NJIMBOH ALOMBAH, NW regional Delegate MIMPMEESA, MINEFOP, and Ngo Abdulai Banfogha delivered impactful presentations on renewable energy potentials and the project’s achievements in empowering youth with critical skills and entrepreneurship opportunities. Panel discussions, moderated by Tah Kennette Konsum, provided actionable insights into aligning vocational training with industry demands and fostering renewable energy entrepreneurship. Key speakers included MINEFOP’s Anna Ndifon, MINPMEESA’s Cliff Ntutieh, MINJEC’s Amaambuh Angel, and #UNDP’s Dr. Lesly Ngwa. A key milestone was the signing of an MoU with 25 mentor institutions, ensuring continued support for students and innovators. Top-performing student projects received awards for their creativity and community impact. The event concluded with remarks by Prof. Fru Angwafo III, President of the Regional House of Assembly, and the SDO for Mezam, commending the collaboration and urging sustained efforts. Tijdens het Gelijke Kansen Evenement in Madurodam, georganiseerd door Samenwerkingsverband Kansengelijkheid & Burgerschapsonderwijs kwamen jongeren, professionals, en beleidsmakers samen onder het thema: Klaar voor de toekomst; nú investeren voor gelijke kansen later. We willen iedereen bedanken voor hun inspirerende verhalen en waardevolle gesprekken. ?? Wat ons vooral raakte? De krachtige boodschap van jongeren aan politiek Den Haag: ?? Meer samenwerking, inclusiever onderwijs en meer middelen om kansengelijkheid en talentontwikkeling te bevorderen. Deze woorden herinneren ons eraan waarom we doen wat we doen. ?? Wall of Connection Een trots moment was de presentatie van onze Wall of Connection, die symbool staat voor het belang van gelijke kansen voor álle jongeren. Muziek voor gelijke kansen Een bijzonder optreden van onze collega en singer-songwriter Yarima Lugo bracht het thema nog dichter bij ons hart. Haar speciaal geschreven nummer ‘Breaking Bubbles’ werd uitgevoerd samen met een jongerenkoor van Musical- en Theaterschool SET uit Utrecht. Hun performance maakte diepe indruk en gaf onze missie een extra krachtige stem. We zijn ontzettend trots dat we vorig jaar hebben besloten ons aan te sluiten bij dit samenwerkingsverband. Module van de Toekomst: Samenwerken met het MBO aan toekomstbepalend onderwijs! ?? ? MasterPeace en het Albeda College Economie & Ondernemen zoeken bedrijven die actief zijn met duurzaamheid om bij te dragen aan de Module van de Toekomst. Dit innovatieve lesprogramma van tien weken laat eerstejaars MBO-studenten kennismaken met duurzaamheid en vernieuwend economisch denken. Praktijkgericht leren en inspiratie staan centraal. ?? Wat houdt de module in? - Studenten bezoeken duurzame bedrijven. - Multidisciplinair samenwerken aan echte bedrijfsuitdagingen. - Challenge Week: studenten adviseren bedrijven over duurzaamheid. De module loopt van februari t/m april 2025, en er zijn diverse manieren waarop jullie als bedrijf kunnen bijdragen: 1. Nieuw Wereldbeeld - Categorie A Bied inzicht in duurzaamheid tijdens bedrijfsbezoeken. Data: Dinsdag 4 februari 2025 (9:00 - 12:00) of dinsdag 18 februari 2025 (9:00 - 12:00). Wat: Laat studenten zien hoe jullie als koploper in duurzaamheid opereren. 2. Ontwerp je Toekomst - Categorie B Geef studenten input voor hun operationele plannen. Periode: 17 maart – 11 april 2025. Wat: Presenteer jullie aanpak en uitdagingen op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Studenten stellen vragen en denken kritisch mee. 3. Challenge Week - Categorie C Een realistische case voor de finale. Data: 14 - 17 april 2025. Wat: Geef studenten een uitdagende opdracht waarmee ze strijden om het beste duurzaamheidsadvies voor jullie bedrijf. 4.
