A nationally leading MHA program designed to develop early careerists into future health care executives.
关于我们
The Master of Health Administration (MHA) is a professional degree, preparing future health care executives for management and leadership positions dedicated to improving health and health service delivery across all sectors. The Hopkins program focuses on the U.S. healthcare system and is well-suited for early careerists interested in managerial and leadership positions within hospitals and health systems, the health insurance industry, and consulting firms. The accelerated two-year residential cohort program is designed specifically for the early careerist. The curriculum includes one year of full-time academic coursework followed by a full-time, 11-month compensated administrative residency with faculty preceptors designed to provide direct experience through hands-on learning. The curriculum is founded on principles of innovation and strategic problem-solving, and develops the analytical, technical, and management skills required to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness, and integration of health and health care organizations and systems.

In the season of being thankful, our dedicated MHA students had the privilege of volunteering with?Charm City Care Connection, supporting their mission to serve the community. During this meaningful experience, students came together to assemble wound care kits, feminine hygiene packs, and safer smoking supplies—critical resources that make a real difference in the Baltimore community. We are proud to contribute to such impactful work and grateful for the opportunity to support our community!?

There are many things to be thankful for this season— one of them being our students! Our MHA Class of 2025 and 2026 celebrated Friendsgiving with one another last week by bringing meals close to their heart! Whether that be a family recipe or a meal culturally important to them, our MHA cohorts got a chance to connect deeper and share more about their background. Here’s to more moments of friendships and gratitude!

Today, members of the Class of 2026 MHA Cohort had the privilege to visit Baltimore Medical System at Yard 56, one of the Johns Hopkins-affiliated Federally Qualified Health Centers with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. During the visit, we gained valuable insights into operating a safety-net outpatient center in Baltimore, including staffing models, patient sliding-scale systems, and the role of locums in healthcare delivery. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Nicole Namour and Harleen Grewal for an engaging tour and for sharing their expertise about this critical healthcare resource!

It was a tremendous honor for our MHA Class of 2026 to host Kevin Sowers, President of Johns Hopkins Health System and Executive Vice President of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Mr. Sowers shared his inspiring personal and professional journey, and emphasized the importance of seizing every opportunity to learn and grow. His reflections on leadership as well as his mission to support women and underrepresented leaders in healthcare resonated deeply with our class. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Sowers for his time, wisdom, and leadership. His insights will undoubtedly guide us as we aim to shape the future of healthcare!
