Just an amazing day at the Master B2B Mindshare Summit yesterday at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Chicago. Co-founders Andy Hoar and Brian Beck summed it up below - we witnessed incredible in-depth conversations among 100 B2B eCommerce practitioners about the challenges they face every day around clean data, hiring teams, selecting technology and building a digital culture. We especially enjoyed the panel we held with CFOs talking about how they can be convinced to invest more in digital - the more you can show a direct revenue or profit impact, the more likely they are to approve investment. The more you rely on secondary (or tertiary) metrics (like Customer Satisfaction), the more challenging it will be to convince them to loosen up those dollars. And of course thank you to our supporting Subject Matter Experts at the event, including Jon Greene and Trevor Pope from Optimizely, Kami Kris and Mona Champaneri from Valtech, Tom Flierl and William Goodman from Znode, Carlos Manalo and Christopher Dravus from OX, Tim Ahlenius and Brendan Cameron from Amercianeagle.com, John Millen and Jonathan Mahan from DataX.ai, Rob LeRoux and Ryan MacDougall from VTEX, Andrew Wadsworth and Kenneth Parks from ICREON, Tiffany Alexander from Conexiom, Adam Spagnoli from Credit Key, and Ross Hart and Andrew Simpson from Akeneo. https://lnkd.in/e9ybigbW

WOW! What a day it was yesterday at the Master B2B eCommerce Mindshare Summit. We gathered 100+ of the top execs in B2B digital commerce for an incredible set of discussions at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center. Andy Hoar and I are always so blown away with the magic that happens when we get the leaders in our industry together. We witnessed an enormous amount of learning and transparent sharing on topics such as marketplaces, data, hiring and org design, technology and systems, AI and more. We even had a CFO panel sharing ways digital leaders can secure funds for digital investments (including what they DON'T want to see in your business case). There are too many insights to share in a single LinkedIn post. If you are a practicing executive at a manufacturer or distributor and missed the event, be sure to join our Forum (to to our site) and we'll be sharing out a recap of what we heard, as well as important learnings. Here's just one: AI is being used by large manufacturers in very specific and practical ways to dramatically increase the speed of improving product content (thank you, Eric Rehl!!). Distributors, yes, there is hope for better content from your suppliers :) Special thanks to Denise M. Foley for sharing a great case study, and to John Pehler, Rob Howl, Steve Martinez for facilitating Roundtable discussions. To our CFO guests, Christopher Holdener and Brendan Gilboy, thank you for joining us and putting up with all of our questions! There isn't enough room here on LinkedIn to list all the amazing people we saw yesterday. I personally enjoyed conversations with Aquiles Flores, Trent Guyer, Tim Inall, Adam Kupec, Brad Berwald, Jamon Heller, Caroline Gillis, Rob Howl, Dan Heck, CFS, Stephen B. Francis, Tari Elkin and many others! Thank you to our supporting Subject Matter Experts at the event, including Jon Greene and Trevor Pope from Optimizely, Kami Kris and Mona Champaneri from Valtech, Tom Flierl and William Goodman from Znode, Carlos Manalo and Christopher Dravus from OX, Tim Ahlenius and Brendan Cameron from Amercianeagle.com, John Millen and Jonathan Mahan from DataX.ai, Rob LeRoux and Ryan MacDougall from VTEX, Andrew Wadsworth and Kenneth Parks from ICREON, Tiffany Alexander from Conexiom, Adam Spagnoli from Credit Key, and Ross Hart and Andrew Simpson from Akeneo. Looking forward to continuing our discussions online on our Forum and at our Roundtables this spring! #b2becommerce #billiondollarb2becommerce
