It’s Manufacturing Day!??? Today, Karen Myhaver from MassMEP and students from the Advanced Manufacturing Program at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District visited Rocheleau for a tour of our facilities for MFG Day! They had the opportunity to dive into the world of plastic blow molding machinery manufacturing and production, learned about the rich history of Rocheleau Tool & Die, toured the manufacturing and production facilities, and observed machining capabilities in real-life applications. Students also learned about the many career opportunities in the plastics industry, from machining and assembly to mechanics and engineering! We love to foster learning and show students what it’s like to work in the manufacturing industry. A big thank you to Monty Tech teachers Kevin Killay, Ryan Swift, and Jason Tremblay for coordinating the tour with us and to Nicholas Rocheleau and Pat White for leading the tour! Had a fantastic day visiting two Massachusetts manufacturers—Gemline and Rennscot MFG —both on different journeys but making great strides. Gemline, a leader in promotional products, is advancing their Smart Manufacturing roadmap to stay competitive while maintaining high-quality standards. They’re integrating sustainable practices like solar power at their headquarters and continuously innovating. Rennscot Manufacturing, a young contract manufacturer, is leveraging advanced CNC machining and 3D printing to deliver high-performance components for industries like aerospace and automotive. Both companies are focused on cultivating their talent pool to drive innovation and operational excellence.
