MASSIV+ is a cross-industry partnership committed to resolving the pain-points of GHG emission data reporting.
关于我们
Through MASSIV+ we stand united as industry leaders, to drive a systematic and simplified process around collecting and validating greenhouse gas emissions data from Scope 1 and 2, to secure Scope 3. By acting together, we lead the way in setting a new practice that makes it easy to be compliant throughout the value chain. We are committed to resolving the pain-points of today′s reporting structure - and truly demystify the decarbonization journey we are all on to reach net zero targets. Companies in the MASSIV+ partnership: Microsoft Alfa Laval Sandvik SKF IKEA Volvo Cars LKAB SSAB Ovako Microsoft is contributing with technical knowledge on e.g., data sharing, and all companies are contributing with knowledge regarding greenhouse gas emissions data collection and challenges connected to this.

MASSIV+: Exploring data sharing in a consortium model. One of the initiatives that Microsoft is actively participating in and supporting is MASSIV+, a consortium of leading industrial companies in Sweden, Volvo Cars, IKEA, Sandvik, Alfa Laval, SKF and others, that are working together to create a common platform for sharing and validating sustainability data across the value chain. The goal of MASSIV+ is to enable more accurate and transparent reporting of greenhouse gas emissions, starting with Scope 1 and 2 to more accurately calculate Scope 3, which covers the indirect emissions from the upstream and downstream activities of a company. MASSIV+ does not define new data protocols for sharing, but rather a framework that brings these initiatives mentioned above together in an integrated, composite model to share organizational sustainability data. The MASSIV+ Framework is currently defining the ‘what’ data to share in a Sustainability Data Exchange Protocol (SDEP), that layers an organization’s data from higher level company and location data to more granular product level data via protocol messages. Eventually, MASSIV+ will look to expand the capabilities of ‘how’ the data is shared with emerging implementations of Dataspaces (https://lnkd.in/d7EMDxy) to define data sharing policies and contracts.
