We are proud to announce that the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee has officially made #MCDHH’s course, “Communication Access Training for Law Enforcement Officers” a mandatory part of their FY 2025 curriculum. As a result of this collaboration between #MCDHH and #MPTC, 24,000 municipal officers across Massachusetts will receive training which explores and improves how police interact with Deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, and deafblind individuals. Thank you to our friends at MPTC, who have been instrumental in helping #MCDHH’s CATTS team to expand the contents and reach of this curriculum!
