Chaired by our recent Events Chair, Dr. Martina Chiacchiaretta, PhD?(postdoctoral researcher at Tufts School of Medicine), along with Dr. Violeta Duran (postdoctoral researcher at UMass Chan Medical School), this seminar aims to create a platform for early-career scientists to discuss unpublished discoveries and emerging methodologies in glial biology. The primary goal is to establish connections between various subfields, linking both the science and the scientists to achieve a comprehensive understanding of glial biology. ? While short talks will be chosen from abstract submissions of unpublished findings, all GRS attendees will have the chance to present their work through poster presentations. ? Thanks to GRS 2025 sponsors, childcare support for the two days of the conference is available upon request.

The Cambridge Public Library will host a special matinee science theater presentation of Pursuit of Discovery: Lise Meitner and Nuclear Fission on Saturday, September 28th, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. Presented as part of Space Day during the Cambridge Science Festival and produced in collaboration with STEM on Stage, this free event is for adults and children ages 10 and up.
