The Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus is a non partisan organization committed to increasing the number of women elected to public office and appointed to public policy positions. We seek to civically engage women of all ages in the political process through events, programming, and workshops. Caucus members include a diverse group of women that include the political, health care, biotech, academic, business, corporate, and non profit communities. The MWPC offers programs that strive to increase the interest of women in the political process and helps them to be successful in the political arena.

  • Our statement on the affirmation of the ERA: The Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus applauds President Biden for his actions to affirm the Equal Rights Amendment as the 28th Amendment of the Constitution. First introduced more than a century ago, the ERA would solidify the principle that gender equality is a constitutional right, providing a critical safeguard against discrimination in all areas of life, including employment, education, and health care. President Biden’s affirmation follows decades of tireless efforts by legislators, advocates, and organizations fighting for equal rights and representation under the law, including the National Women’s Political Caucus and Massachusetts Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, co-chair of the ERA Caucus. We join Congresswomen Pressley and other leaders in calling on the Archivist of the United States to certify the Amendment and formally enshrine gender equality into law.
