An exciting day yesterday discussing and learning about the opportunity at the intersection of #semiconductors, #healthcare, and #lifesciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology! Anantha Chandrakasan, Tomas Palacios, Dr. Ahmad Bahai, Max ( Masoud ) Mirgoli, Veerle (Vee) Reumers and their teams alongside MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Mass General Brigham, and imec USA (imec) pulled together a tremendous series of talks and panels to dive into the frontier that lays ahead as these industries, disciplines, and enabling technologies #converge. It was great to have Sec. Yvonne Hao and UnderSec. Sarah Stanton (Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED)) join to engage with the attendees and share how the state is actively engaging in support of these areas with recent efforts like the #NEMC_Hub, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Investor Catalyst Hub, and the #MassLeadsAct Economic Development bill. Last week, we lost an important member of our economic development family with the passing of former Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development Secretary Greg Bialecki. Greg was a super talented individual with a passion for housing, permitting, and economic development and had an incredible impact while serving our state as secretary from 2009 to 2015. He was also a generous and thoughtful friend to so many in our office. We extend our condolences to his family and will continue to honor his legacy in our work on behalf of the communities and people of Massachusetts.
