We’ve collected almost 70,000 lbs of shell this year, an increase of 20% from last year. ?? That’s the size of an empty Boeing 737-800 aircraft. ?? ?? The bulk of our shell was collected in #Wellfleet, but the new Yarmouth recycling site is now home to almost 10,000 lbs of newly-recycled shell! We also collected more than 7,000 pounds from Wellfleet #Oysterfest. We couldn’t do this without our staff, partners, and volunteers. THANK YOU! #MassOyster

In October, we hosted the 2024 Oyster Restoration Symposium that attracted more than 50 people representing 20 organizations from across 10 states listening to each other, working in groups, and breaking down the silos we all work in every day. Last week, #MassOyster had the incredible opportunity to connect and collaborate with oyster restoration organizations from across the country during the 2024 Oyster Restoration Symposium. We were able to have valuable discussions about what the goals of our organizations, best practices, and plan possible future partnerships.
