I post this op/ed authored by many Latino leaders in MA in my individual capacity, having served on the MA Board of Ed. What Question #2 doesn't do is propose a comprehensive standard to replace MCAS. What's needed is work to make improvements on MCAS across the board. In an op-ed, CEOs Jim Rooney, Brooke M. Thomson, and JD Chesloff?outline why to vote No on Question 2: “Growth only happens when we put children and their futures first by maintaining the best schools in the nation. This has been the foundation of the Massachusetts success story for decades.” https://lnkd.in/ezhfrnnG
Question 2: A misguided effort that will harm kids, their futures, and the economy
